FTC Full Disclosure

My FTC Compensated Affiliate Notice

by Paul Jones
December 1, 2009

Recently the Federal Trade Commission issued new guidelines for online marketers which go into effect December 1st, 2009. These guidelines compel online marketers, such as me, to make full disclosure when we are compensated for the recommendations that we make on our website.

It probably doesn’t surprise you that I’m an affiliate (get paid a commission) for most of the products that I promote or recommend on this site. Not all of the links on this website are affiliate links, but you should assume that they are, and that I am compensated if you buy or sign up for things.

I am sure most of you visiting this site, know that promoting products and making a commission is part of my business and how I keep this site operating. Please be aware that I wouldn’t have any product ad, link or banner on this site that I didn’t firmly believe would be beneficial to a large number of my visitors.

As you know some readers or visitors will find great value in the content, products or services recommended on this site will others will not.

So, please consider this humble notice my "full disclosure" that I’m a paid affiliate and make money from products recommended on this site.
